Sights, Sensitivities, & Spirituality

And sometimes the best cure for what ails ya is getting into nature…she’s a powerful curitive.

Sometimes the best scenery, the thing you need most, is right in your backyard.

They say the third Monday in January is called Blue Monday because it’s the peak time for the holiday hangover to catch up, we feel the effects of weeks of poor eating and lack of sleep, routines fly out the window with festivities and travel, the short dark days of winter can leave us depressed, New Year’s resolutions falling apart, and lack of energy …all leaving us feeling less than our best. And many people in my circle are downright depressed this week. No wonder! If this is you, you’re not alone!!

I was feeling the big feelz this day and, after a helpful lunch with a friend, felt pulled towards the beach. Wide open spaces, vast vistas, and oceanic horizons? Incredibly soothing; salves for my soul.

So here’s a bit of Pine Point Beach in Maine to share with you today. Despite being January in New England, the shoreline was surprisingly mild, the rhythmic beat of the waves soothing and gratefully welcoming.

May your heart and soul be soothed by your own gems close to home.

Love,

Wen
